As a younger man in the 70’s, I worked for Bear Stearns & Co. for 5.5 years on the floor of the NY Stock Exchange. For the next twelve years, I was an “entrepreneur” doing auctions for goods confiscated at the border for the Ontario Provincial Government. I also owned retail stores in Toronto, Ontario, during that time.

That is also when I started my Real Estate Career! I began working for Bramalea Ltd., a very large developer of office, malls and apartment complexes, in the leasing and development of malls. In 1984, Bamalea Ltd. sent me to Houson, Texas.

Later, I returned to Canada and worked for Landawn Shopping Centers, Canada’s largest private owner of shopping centers, in leasing and overseeing the management of eight shopping centers in Western Ontario. I lived in London, Ontario.

In 1992, I owned an 110,000 SF Flea Market in Welland, Ontario (‘Mad Max’ Flea Market) which operated Saturdays and Sundays.

In 1997, I was sent to Corpus Christi by Great Oak Development (a REIT Group) to lease and dispose of Sunrise Mall. Once accomplished, I decided make Corpus Christi home and joined Century 21 Hallmark. I was “Rookie of the Year” and was the first “Rookie” in the area to accomplish Master Agent, Top Listor, Top Sales in my first year licensed!

Over the years, I transitioned from selling residential properties for Remax to becoming the managing partner for Tropical Realty where I concentrated on commercial and new high end homes and managed the other Realtors.

In 2015, I started working toward my CCIM Designation by taking three classes and have 103 classes remaining.
