About Ingleside, Texas

Ingleside, Texas is the hub of the Coastal Bend area. While considered “rural”, we are home to large industry partners Kiewit Offshore Services, Helix Energy, Signet Maritime, Gulf Marine Fabricators, OxyChem, DuPont, & Sherwin-Alumina – big players in the international business arena. Nestled on the La Quinta Ship Channel, we are poised for growth and prosperity in the coming years. With affordable deep water frontage at a depth of 45 feet, we are one of the last remaining coastal “frontiers”.

Located just 15 minutes north of metropolitan Corpus Christi, and just across the ship channel from the Port of Corpus Christi, (the worlds sixth largest Port), We’ve had some notable successes – such as having been the proud birthplace of ThunderHorse, the largest offshore platform rig built to date. We are the crossroads where cutting-edge technology and world class industrial practice meet small, hometown community filled with charm and quality of life and place.

Ingleside has big plans for our future and projects slated to come on-line which include:

Redevelopment of Naval Station Ingleside by the Port of Corpus Christi. Texas A & M will serve as the master developer for this project, and will conduct research and development of alternative fuels and other new technologies onsite.

Development of adjacent 455 acres – located next to the NSI property.

The first EVER National Football League Alumni Association endorsed master planned community – Live Oak Preserve, which will feature a world class Bobby Weed PGA Golf Course, upscale urban living, a town center with upscale retail offerings, and more.

Redevelopment of the EMR facility, a 155 acre location which fronts to the La Quinta Ship Channel. Preliminary plans include a maritime business park. The project will offer a diverse grouping of businesses with a waterfront location.

A resident of the Austin area would have to earn 28 percent more, or 49,961 per year to match the purchasing power of $ 39,000 in Ingleside. Living in Dallas would cost 24 percent more than living in Ingleside.
